Player Transfer Policy
For U15 and under players who wish to register for a team outside of Edmonton Zone, they must apply each year for a player transfer.
Player Transfers are for a one-year term expiring Aug 31 of the current year.
Players residing within the Edmonton City boundaries must register with SEMSA unless released.
Releases may be granted based on the following criteria:
- There are not enough players to form a team for their age group.
- Not enough players to compete on a team
Player transfer requests will not be accepted prior to March 15th of the current year.

If a player transfer is denied by SEMSA, the player has the right to appeal to Softball Alberta.

**** ANY PLAYER WHO HAS FIRST EVER PLAYED WITHIN SEMSA AND STILL RESIDES
WITHIN THE EDMONTON ZONE - WILL REQUIRE THEIR RELEASE COME FROM SEMSA
EVEN IF THEIR LAST ASSOCIATION WAS NOT SEMSA.
ALL PLAYERS WHO RECEIVE AN OFFER TO PLAY ON AN "A" TEAM FROM AN APPROVED ASSOCIATION
WILL BE RELEASED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF OF TRANSFER REQUEST PENDING VERIFICATION
OF TEAM OFFER. **** ALL OTHER REQUESTS WILL BE RECEIVED NO EARLIER THAN
MARCH 15TH OF THE CURRENT YEAR.
